In a pleasant rural setting, with traditional Istrian food and local songs, the staff of Konoba Bani will show you how life is lived in Istria!

In the heart of Istria, near the town of Pazin, above the Pazinčica river, lies the small village of Bani. Unspoilt nature, fresh air, peace and a homely atmosphere are what make this place special — it invites you to leave the noise of the city behind, at least for a while.

Konoba Bani has been operating in Bani since 1983. Until 2002 it was a rural farmhouse, and since then it has been a successful tavern. The interior is decorated with traditional Istrian crafts and a fireplace that gives the room a special atmosphere in winter.

Konoba Bani works exclusively with pre-arranged groups and always offers a choice of menus. To bring traditional Istrian values to life, our staff will welcome you in traditional Istrian costumes, to the sound of a live accordion — and on request, a folklore group from the Pazin area can perform for you. You will hear traditional Istrian songs and, if you are lucky, a donkey braying or a rooster crowing.
